Born in Bangalore, India, Varuni Ravinder started learning Carnatic classical music from the tender age of six, training from Shri T. Puttaswamaiah. Then, she learned under the tutelage of the well-known musician Sri R.K. Padmanabha. From a young age, Varuni has performed creditably at various major concerts and competitions in India and abroad. She is a Bangalore All India Radio graded artist and has sung for Geetharadhara and many Doordarshan programs. On top of this, she has sung on cassettes for Shyamakrishna, Vasudeva Keerthana, Lakshmi Shobhane, Vinayaka Vandana, and more. Her inspirational singing and flawless voice have attracted many towards Indian classical music. She has dedicated over 25 years of her life teaching students of all ages in the U.S. and in India the art of classical music. |
Master Arjun Raghavan - Mrudangist Arjun
Raghavan is a rising junior at Chapel
Hill High School.
He started learning mridangam from Shri. Venkat Natarajan in New Jersey. Subsequently,
he has come under the tutelage of Ghatam Vidwan Shri. T.H.Subashchandran. He

![]() | Shri Vikram Ragukumar - Violinist Vikram Ragukumar is currently a disciple of All India Radio A grade violinist Vidwan B. Raghuram. He has been learning Carnatic classical music for about 12 years. His initial training was under Vidwan H.V. Krishnamurthy at Vijaya College of Music. Through his years of learning, he has accompanied on the violin several artists at performances in India and the USA apart from rendering solo and duet violin concerts. Shri Sindura Ganapathi - Flautist
Sindura Ganapathi has learned Carnatic flute under Vid. H.S.Venugopal in Bangalore. He completed his senior exam in Carnatic music during that period. He has performed at many places around Bangalore and, after coming to the US, around Harrisburg, PA, such as lecture demonstrations at the International Cultural Festival at Kutztown University and on the World Stage of Harrisburg. Sindura has a PhD in Pharmacology and MBA from Penn State University. He is currently doing biomedical research at NIEHS in Research Triangle Park.
